New recruits at 4BM Kumasi enjoy health education on kidney disease prevention. The world kidney day falls on the 14th of March 2024. And to mark the day, the Kidney Health International will be holding another free kidney health screening at Ampabame Number 2.
However, to mark the day, the Programs Manager of the KHI, Mr Sylvanus Gatorwu, engaged new recuits of the Ghana Army who are undergoing military training at the 4th Infantry Battalion at the Kumasi Mighty 4th training grounds with kidney disease prevention education.
The participants who were excited to have had the education, asked a lot of questions which suggested that their knowledge of the kidneys was minute.
It was such a rare opportunity considering how “tight” it is to have access to a military base.
Come March 16, the team of volunteers of the KHI would hold a massive free health screeing and public education to residents of Ampabame Number 2.
Plans are underway to ensure that as many as 400 people are screened.
