Physician Assistant Students Association receives training on kidney disease prevention communication. As the world marked the World Kidney Day, the Kidney Health International (KHI) continued with its mission of getting millions to know about kidney disease by training many to carry on the message of kidney disease prevention.
In the bid to ensure that more hands are brought on board, the organization extended its training of volunteers to include students who make up the Physician Assistant Students Association (PASA) of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
The students were taken through the art of demystifying and making simple complex medical knowledge simple so that everyone can understand. This was exemplified with several short presentations as the students watched in awe.
They were also educated on how to provide audience-appropriate messages whenever they were out to educate the public. On a message delivered on his behalf, Dr Elliot Koranteng Tannor who is the director and founder of the Kidney Health International (KHI) encouraged them to go all out to every space and speak to people wherever they meet them because many people are oblivious of what it meant to live with kidney disease.
The students were elated and presented their plan of visits to the various halls on campus to Mr Sylvanus Gatorwu, the Programs Manager of the KHI who did the presentations to them.
